Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist serves as the primary contact for inquiries from supporters, emphasizing customer service to enhance supporter loyalty and engagement. This role involves accurately recording, processing, and acknowledging donations, as well as efficiently importing data and financial contributions into the database (currently Salesforce, transitioning to Raiser's Edge). The specialist ensures that data entry is consistently monitored across the finance team, maintaining an up-to-date and organized database to support fundraising initiatives from both individual and institutional donors. This position requires regular onsite presence to effectively carry out daily responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update the database consistently.
  • Address all supporter inquiries, including acknowledgments, complaints, and information requests.
  • Manage all donation processes within the database.
  • Generate income reports as required.
  • Coordinate data segmentation and execute mass communications to donors.
  • Ensure high-quality standards and compliance with GDPR regulations for all supporter data entry; collaborate with the ICT team.
  • Assist the Philanthropic Partnerships Officer in developing and sustaining database practices that enhance understanding of the supporter base and facilitate prospect research.
  • Provide support for donor relationship management.
  • Contribute to the overall goals and annual planning of the Individual Donor Relations team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values, including a focus on intersectional feminism, social and environmental justice, and the rights of marginalized groups.
  • Relevant vocational education or equivalent experience in managing financial, supporter, and customer data.
  • Personal experience in confronting various forms of systemic oppression, including but not limited to sexism, racism, and classism.
  • Understanding of human rights, social justice, environmental justice, and feminist movements.
  • Proficiency in data entry on CRM systems, preferably Raiser's Edge.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and recording supporter communication preferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Dutch, capable of engaging with diverse backgrounds.
  • Customer service orientation and a supporter-focused approach.
  • Ability to collaborate across various organizational levels.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Willingness to maintain a regular onsite presence.

OUR OFFER

We provide a full-time position (36 hours) within a dynamic and professional work environment at an international foundation dedicated to diversity, solidarity, peace, and justice. The salary for this role is commensurate with experience, based on CAO Welzijn scale 8, with a minimum full-time salary of € 2.836 and a maximum of € 4.040, in addition to 8% vacation pay, a 13th-month bonus, and a pension plan.
