Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist serves as the primary contact for inquiries from supporters, emphasizing customer service to foster loyalty and engagement. This role involves the meticulous recording, processing, and acknowledgment of donations, alongside the accurate input of data and revenue into the database (currently Salesforce, transitioning to Raiser's Edge). The specialist ensures that data entry is consistently monitored across the finance team, maintaining an up-to-date and organized database to facilitate fundraising efforts from both individual and institutional contributors. This position necessitates regular onsite presence to effectively carry out daily responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the database with current and accurate information. Address all supporter inquiries, including expressions of gratitude, complaints, and requests for information. Manage all donation processes within the database. Generate income reports as required. Coordinate data segmentation and execute communications for mass donors. Uphold high standards of quality and consistency in supporter data entry, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations in collaboration with the ICT team. Assist the Philanthropic Partnerships Officer in refining database practices to enhance understanding of the supporter base and aid in prospect research. Provide support in donor relationship management. Contribute to the annual objectives and strategies of the Individual Donor Relations team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values, including principles of intersectional feminism, social and environmental justice, and advocacy for marginalized groups. Educational background at the vocational level or equivalent experience in managing financial, supporter, and customer data. Personal experience in confronting injustice and various forms of systemic oppression, including but not limited to sexism, racism, and classism. Familiarity with human rights, social justice, environmental advocacy, international development, and feminist movements. Proficiency in data entry within CRM systems, preferably Raiser's Edge. Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Understanding of GDPR and the importance of recording supporter communication preferences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both verbal and written English and Dutch, enabling interaction with diverse backgrounds. Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on supporter engagement. Ability to collaborate across different organizational functions. Strong relationship-building skills, capable of representing the organization effectively. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently while being adaptable to a varied workload.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This full-time position (36 hours per week) offers a dynamic and professional work environment within an international foundation dedicated to diversity, solidarity, peace, and justice. The monthly salary is commensurate with experience and is based on the CAO Welzijn scale 8, with a minimum of € 2.836 and a maximum of € 4.040, in addition to 8% vacation pay, a 13th-month salary, and a pension plan.
