About the Role

The Individual Donor Relations Officer is a key member of our team, responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with individual donors and prospects. This role requires a strong ability to build trust, establish rapport, and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individual donors and prospects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing donors, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage and grow the individual donor portfolio, increasing the size of gifts and meeting annual income targets.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and optimal fundraising results.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, relationship management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in growing and securing income from individual donors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Proficiency in CRM database systems, preferably Raiser's Edge.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.
