Role Overview

The American School of The Hague is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elementary School Classroom Dual Language Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students in a dual language setting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom management and student support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum that aligns with international educational standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in dual language instruction and educational technology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching in an international school setting.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.
  • Experience with curriculum integration, research-based literacy instruction, and social emotional learning integration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
