Qualifications: You are a certified Elementary School Teacher with a proven track record of successful teaching in American, Canadian, or international educational contexts. You possess both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in implementing developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and differentiated instructional strategies.

In addition, you:

hold a Master's degree, preferably with a focus on elementary education, literacy, or special education, are fluent in both Dutch and English, have experience with contemporary international educational methodologies, including curriculum integration, evidence-based literacy instruction, data-driven decision-making, standards-based planning, and social-emotional learning.

Role Overview: The position is overseen by the Elementary School Principal, and you will collaborate with grade-level teams. As part of a dedicated faculty of 60, you will engage in the innovative dual language pathway within our Early Childhood Center. You will work alongside a committed team of educators and specialists to enhance the educational experience for young learners. You will collaborate with a Teaching Assistant, who you will evaluate annually, with support in this process.

Daily Responsibilities: As an Elementary School Classroom Dual Language Teacher, your daily tasks will involve partnering with your Teaching Assistant to execute the lesson plans you have developed. Together, you will create impactful learning experiences tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students. A key aspect of your role will be to facilitate the use of learning tools through rich language experiences, fostering independence and problem-solving skills among students. You will promote discovery-based learning by selecting age-appropriate projects that encourage hands-on engagement.

You will also participate in daily lunch supervision and provide support to parents and students outside of regular school hours as necessary. Your involvement in school-wide, divisional, and grade-level meetings will be essential, allowing you to engage fully in a professional learning community. Your insights will contribute to discussions on how to best meet the needs of students. If you have interests or talents in areas such as music, athletics, or the arts, you are encouraged to share these as you will be involved in after-school activities that support student development. Your positive attitude will be crucial for thriving in the school environment.

Effective communication will be a hallmark of your role. You will actively participate in various meetings and contribute to a collaborative professional learning community. Your perspectives will be valued in conversations about how to best support student needs.
