Professional Requirements: You are a certified Elementary School Teacher with a proven track record of effective teaching in an American, Canadian, or international educational setting. You possess both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in implementing developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and differentiated instructional strategies.

In addition, you should:

hold a Master's degree, preferably with a focus on elementary education, literacy, or special education, be fluent in both Dutch and English, have familiarity with contemporary international educational methodologies, including curriculum integration, research-driven literacy instruction, data-informed teaching, standards-based planning and assessment, and social-emotional learning integration.

Role Overview: The position is overseen by the Elementary School Principal, and you will collaborate with grade-level teams. As part of a dedicated faculty of 60 in the Elementary School, you will contribute to the innovative dual language pathway within our Early Childhood Center. You will work alongside a committed team of educators and specialists to enhance the educational experience for young learners. You will also supervise a Teaching Assistant, providing annual evaluations and support.

Daily Responsibilities: As an Elementary School Classroom Dual Language Teacher, your daily tasks will involve collaborating with your teaching assistant to execute the instructional plans you have developed. Together, you will create impactful learning experiences tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students. A key aspect of your role will be to facilitate the use of learning tools through immersive language experiences, empowering students to become independent learners and critical thinkers. You will promote discovery-based learning by selecting age-appropriate projects that encourage hands-on engagement.

Daily lunch supervision is part of your responsibilities, as is providing support to parents and students outside of regular school hours when necessary. You will actively participate in school-wide, divisional, and grade-level meetings, engaging fully in a professional learning community. Your input is valued in discussions about how to best meet the needs of our students. If you have talents or interests outside of the classroom, such as music, athletics, or the arts, you are encouraged to share them, as you will have opportunities to participate in after-school activities that support our students. Your positive attitude will be crucial for your success in this role.

Strong, transparent communication will be a hallmark of your approach. You will be actively involved in school-wide, divisional, and grade-level meetings, contributing to a collaborative professional learning community. Your perspective is important in conversations about how to best serve our students. Your proactive attitude will be essential for thriving in your daily school environment.
