Qualifications: You hold certification as an Elementary School Teacher and possess experience in delivering effective classroom instruction within an American, Canadian, or international educational setting. You have a solid theoretical foundation and practical experience in implementing developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and differentiated teaching strategies.

Additional Requirements:

An advanced degree, preferably with a focus on elementary education, literacy, or special education. Proficiency in both Dutch and English. Familiarity with contemporary international educational methodologies, including curriculum integration, evidence-based literacy instruction, data-driven decision-making, standards-based planning, and social-emotional learning.

Role Overview: This position is overseen by the Elementary School Principal, and you will collaborate with grade-level teams. As part of a dedicated faculty of 60, you will engage in an innovative dual language program within our Early Childhood Center. You will work alongside a committed team of educators and specialists to enhance the learning experiences of young students. Your responsibilities will include supervising a Teaching Assistant, with annual evaluations supported by the administration.

Daily Responsibilities: As a Dual Language Teacher, your daily tasks will involve collaborating with your Teaching Assistant to execute the lesson plans you have developed. Together, you will create impactful learning experiences tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of your students. A key aspect of your role will be to facilitate the use of educational tools through immersive language experiences, fostering independence and problem-solving skills among learners. You will promote discovery-based learning by selecting age-appropriate projects that encourage hands-on engagement.

Your role will also include supervising lunch periods and providing support to parents and students outside of regular school hours as necessary. You will actively participate in school-wide, divisional, and grade-level meetings, contributing to a vibrant professional learning community. Your insights will be valued in discussions aimed at enhancing student support. If you possess talents or interests in areas such as music, athletics, or the arts, you are encouraged to bring these to the school community, as you will be involved in after-school activities that benefit students.
