About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Strategy Manager to drive the value maximization and green transformation of Uniper's power stations. As an Asset Strategy Manager, you will develop asset-specific strategies with Uniper's energy assets and contribute to their execution. Your focus will be on the Dutch market and working on projects across other Uniper markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze energy markets and assess their potential impact on Uniper's energy assets (electricity and gas production and storage)
  • Analyze the commercial performance of Uniper's energy assets based on different technical scenarios and market sensitivities
  • Create strategies for Uniper's energy assets to maximize value and enable their individual green transformations
  • Develop new ideas to maximize asset value based on changes in the energy markets and at individual energy assets
  • Contribute to strategy execution by carrying out financial evaluations and making recommendations to senior management on investment opportunities and potential operational changes
  • Execute strategy by managing cross-functional projects that maximize the value of Uniper's energy assets and enable their green transformation

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, energy economics, or similar
  • Experience in the power generation sector
  • Experience in the gas storage sector is a plus
  • Some experience with the commercial side of power generation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills that can be applied to engineering and commercial topics
  • A track record of driving activities independently
  • Business fluency in English and Dutch (C1 minimum)
  • Knowledge of German, Swedish, Hungarian, or other European languages is a plus
