Senior Process Development Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Development Scientist to join our Process Technology department at Corbion's Innovation Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and improving innovative new downstream (bio)chemical processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support process development, scale-up, implementation, and optimization of new or existing processes and products.
- Troubleshoot production issues by translating technology challenges to lab, pilot scale, and production scale trials.
- Prepare, lead, and execute pilot and demo-scale production runs.
- Analyze results and provide data-based recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation and reporting of procedures and results according to Corbion standards.
- Support intellectual property, regulatory affairs, marketing, and sales departments with relevant expertise.
- Build insight, know-how, and skills on different downstream processing technologies for both food and non-food products.
- Assist in the development and mentoring of junior specialists and technicians.
- Educational background at the M.Sc or Ph.D. level in a relevant discipline, such as (bio)chemical engineering, food technology, or relevant studies.
- Theoretical background and a couple of years' experience in development, scale-up, and implementation of specific unit operations used in downstream processing.
- Experience with innovation projects, preferably experience with coordinating R&D project teams in a multi-functional project environment.
- Willingness and ability to work in an operations environment as well as R&D.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
