The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales initiatives in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales will spearhead sales initiatives and manage international sales prospects for the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel. This role involves overseeing group and catering business, with a focus on maximizing revenue through effective upselling strategies. You will implement brand service strategies and initiatives throughout the sales process, fostering customer loyalty by delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint. Achieving both personal and team revenue targets will be a priority.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality sector, ideally in a comparable upscale or lifestyle hotel setting.
  • A proactive sales mindset with excellent negotiation skills and a proven ability to close deals.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
  • Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions to uncover client needs.
  • Driven to meet ambitious yet attainable goals.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A preference for working in a sales-oriented environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a proactive sales role.
  • Background in the hospitality industry with knowledge of the international market is advantageous.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required; proficiency in a third language is a plus.

A unique opportunity is available in the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic markets. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a significant transformation, with substantial investments being made to renovate guest rooms and public spaces, including a new bar, restaurant, and rooftop terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms, and an additional conference center will be constructed. We are committed to sustainability and aim to enhance the city of Amsterdam.
