The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales initiatives in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales will take charge of driving sales strategies and managing international sales prospects for the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel. This role encompasses overseeing group and catering business, with a focus on maximizing revenue through effective upselling. You will be responsible for executing the brand's service strategy and initiatives throughout the sales process, fostering customer loyalty by ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Your goal will be to meet and exceed both personal and team revenue targets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership within the hospitality sector, ideally in a comparable upscale or lifestyle hotel setting.
  • A proactive sales mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven ability to close deals.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
  • Confident in decision-making and taking initiative.
  • Skilled in identifying and addressing client needs through effective questioning.
  • Driven to achieve ambitious yet attainable goals.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for working in a sales-oriented environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a proactive sales role.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality industry and knowledge of the international market is preferred.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English; proficiency in a third language is advantageous.

The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is undergoing a significant transformation, with substantial investments aimed at enhancing guest experiences. This includes fully renovated accommodations and public spaces, a new bar, restaurant, and rooftop terrace. The hotel will expand its capacity from 402 to 500 rooms, alongside the addition of a new conference center.
