The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales initiatives in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales will spearhead sales strategies and manage international sales prospects for the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel. This role entails overseeing group and catering business, with a focus on maximizing revenue through effective upselling. You will execute the brand's service strategy and initiatives throughout the sales process, fostering customer loyalty by ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Your goal will be to meet both personal and team revenue targets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales leadership within the hospitality sector, ideally in an upscale or lifestyle hotel setting.
  • A proactive sales mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven ability to close deals.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Confidence in decision-making and initiative-taking.
  • A knack for asking insightful questions to identify client needs.
  • A drive to achieve ambitious yet attainable goals.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A preference for working in a sales-driven environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a proactive sales role.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality industry and insights into the international market are advantageous.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required; proficiency in a third language is a plus.

An exceptional opportunity is available in the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic markets. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a significant transformation, with substantial investments aimed at completely renovating guest rooms and public spaces, including a new bar, restaurant, and rooftop terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms, with an additional conference center in development. Sustainability is a key focus, and we aim to enhance the city of Amsterdam.
