Leading Researcher in Single-Molecule Microscopy
3 weken geleden
As a Postdoctoral Researcher at AMOLF, you will play a key role in investigating the biophysical basis of potential new checkpoint therapeutics using single-molecule fluorescence microscopy.
This research project focuses on developing molecules that induce dephosphorylation of immune receptors to shut down inhibitory signalling entirely. You will work closely with the Fernandes group (University of Oxford) and other REPRESSIT partners to study the spatiotemporal dynamics of different designs of RIPR molecules.
Your research will involve analysing receptor organisation and signalling in live cells and model lipid bilayers using single-molecule fluorescence microscopy and single-particle tracking techniques. You will also develop new in vitro assays and imaging approaches to closely investigate the molecular details of cellular signaling.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in biophysics, immunology, or a related field, with experience in single-molecule fluorescence techniques or experimental biophysics. You should also be proficient in data analysis and coding (Python) and have a keen interest in working in a collaborative and international environment.
The working conditions at AMOLF are highly collaborative and dynamic, with a strong focus on innovation and scientific excellence. You will be part of a research group of about 8 PhD students and postdocs, working together on various projects from immunological signalling to signalling in synthetic cells.
