Assistant Professor in Theoretical/Computational Soft Matter Physics

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Theoretical/Computational Soft Matter Physics to join our research unit Soft Matter and Biological Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in theoretical or computational soft matter physics and a proven track record of research excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality academic research in theoretical or computational soft matter physics, with a focus on soft-matter related topics in statistical physics and complex systems, biological physics, chemical physics, and materials science and technology.
- Teach and contribute to the Applied Physics bachelor and master curriculum, with a focus on theoretical and computational methods in soft matter physics.
- Collaborate with other researchers within the research unit and the department to develop new research initiatives and projects.
- Supervise and mentor students at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels, and contribute to the development of the research group.
- PhD in Theoretical/Computational Physics or a related field, with at least two years of experience as a (postdoctoral) researcher.
- Excellent research skills, with a strong publication record and a clear research vision.
- Excellent teaching skills, with experience in teaching theoretical and computational methods in soft matter physics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
