Junior Project Manager Engineering Shipbuilding

The RoleWe are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our engineering team. As a Junior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering process and output within your discipline. Your goal will be to ensure a smooth building process, managing an engineering team and engineering partners, and maintaining contact with the client or their representatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an engineering team with engineers/lead engineers for the shipbuilding disciplines and support staff;
- Provide technical support on projects when needed or asked for;
- Manage Budget, Planning, Quality, and Risks with regard to the engineering of vessels;
- Contact with the client or their representatives and manage outsourcing of engineering work, ensuring necessary approvals are attained;
- Manage the integration of purchased systems, equipment, and interfacing with other disciplines, including requests for quotations and the vendor data process;
- Implement (standard) work processes in your project, organize review moments, and prepare status reports, organizing document control and configuration control;
- Ensure a good working environment and team spirit;
- Actively participate in engineering where required.
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture;
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience with maritime engineering in the maritime sector;
- Preferably experience with standardized shipbuilding and series construction;
- Familiarity with the Rules and Regulations and ability to interpret and translate them for our projects;
- Experience with software packages such as AutoCAD and Nupas-Cadmatic;
- English is a must, Dutch is a plus.
