Our Operations team is where technology meets the real world. We own the local business and set and execute the strategy for our markets in Northern Europe.
We solve problems using data, operational levers, and strategic product, process, and campaign launches to grow the business and ensure that Uber offers the most preferred, reliable, and convenient service across Northern Europe, anytime and anywhere.
Job Description:
This role sits in the Rider team within our Operations group. The Rider team is responsible for growing our rider base and continuously improving the platform experience for our customers.
You will be responsible for growing the part of the business we call High Value Experiences (think high margin use cases, such as Premium products or Airport usage) and launching what we call Growth Bets (experimental products that might just become the next big thing).
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the vision, strategy, and tactics needed to grow and improve the High Value Experiences and Growth Bets segments of the business.
- Monitoring the performance of these segments, including growth and experience metrics; deep diving into reasons behind underperformance; and devising countermeasures.
- Launching products, processes, and campaigns to capture new growth opportunities and address areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Tax, and Product, to roll out your own initiatives, work towards common goals, and continuously improve these segments.
Requirements:
Preferred qualifications include:
- Relevant experience: 2-4 years of previous, relevant professional experience (e.g. launching new products or processes, managing or executing projects, or solving business problems with data, etc.).
- Action-focused: ability to work in a fast-paced environment where work will be focused on taking action and delivering tangible impact to the business (e.g. increasing the number of airport trips, getting more people to try new products).
- Project management: capable of project managing and moving multiple initiatives forward in parallel.
- Problem-solving: ability to break down problems in a structured manner and use data-backed insights and critical thinking to solve them.
- Language: professional fluency in English and one of our region's local languages: Dutch, Swedish, French, Finnish, Norwegian, or Danish.

- Growth mindset: proactive learner with a can-do attitude - able to pick up skills and knowledge quickly and excited to become the expert on topics within the team.
- Data-savvy: comfortable working with data sets using Excel, Google Sheets, etc. and connecting metrics to the real world. Through data, able to validate issues, derive actionable insights, and generate recommendations.
- Communication: clear communication skills (verbal and written) to deliver insights and recommendations and to work with other team members.
- Collaboration: able to collaborate and coordinate well with a mix of cross-functional teams to move projects and launches forwards.
- Business acumen: able to prioritize effectively, recognize when business needs shift, and pivot quickly in response.
Estimated salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
