BAS World is a key player in the global trade of automotive vehicles, actively engaging in international commerce on a daily basis. As an Account Manager, your primary duty will be to market and sell trucks, trailers, machinery, and commercial vehicles to a diverse clientele across the globe.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients. Your ability to communicate in multiple languages is essential, as it facilitates smoother interactions with customers who often reach out to us directly. Your focus will be on nurturing strong business relationships, negotiating pricing, and finalizing sales agreements.

Customer satisfaction is paramount, and you will achieve this by providing a comprehensive service package that may include maintenance, tires, fuel, transport, leasing, or financing options. Your goal is to deliver a complete solution tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

Efficient time management is crucial; you will need to identify opportunities and make strategic decisions regarding your daily activities. The complexities of international trade, including import regulations, banking compliance, and local market nuances, will be part of your learning curve, and you will ensure that every transaction proceeds without a hitch. Support from experienced sales colleagues will always be available.

You will be part of a dynamic international team of approximately 30 professionals. Your manager, a seasoned salesperson with extensive experience at BAS, will guide you through daily operations, ensuring you are never isolated in your role. The team fosters a competitive yet enjoyable atmosphere, where collaboration is encouraged, and weekly gatherings allow for reflection and camaraderie.

Your Qualifications
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or English, with proficiency in 2 to 3 additional languages (such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, from freelancers to executives of large corporations, adapting your approach as necessary;
  • A proactive mindset, with a keen eye for opportunities to close deals.
