about the role

Join the Strategic Marketing team, a highly transversal team interacting with various stakeholders within Orange Business: Strategy, Business Lines, Strategic Value Propositions (SVP) Leaders, Zones, Finance etc.

The team’s main ambitions are:

To lead and/or contribute to understanding our markets, our competition and the evolution of our customers’ expectations to analyze our key challenges and opportunities, To measure our customers’ satisfaction (NPS), analyze results and provide recommendations for action plans driving their improvement To construct our marketing plan , providing a 2-year compass for our execution plans To analyze our products & services portfolio and consolidate our roadmaps across Orange Business, in order to optimize our commercial catalog To provide guidance on the products & services development process and support transformation of our ways of working towards more agile methodologies To enable the monitoring of our performance through a unique tool developed for value management across Orange Business.

The position we’re looking for will be part of the Strategic Marketing plan team, which is responsible for the first 3 pillars of the above (market understanding, voice of customers & marketing plan).

Missions
Strategic & Customer Marketing of Orange Business is recruiting a Strategic Marketing data manager.
The position reports to the Director of Strategic Marketing plan.

The Strategic Marketing data manager is a key asset to foster data-driven analysis and Go-to-Market strategies, in line with the strategy and business priorities of Orange Business.

Main activities are:

Co-lead a project called market referential, that has recently been kicked-off. The project is owned by both Strategy & Strategic Marketing teams. Its ambition is to create a single market data referential to feed the development of Strategic plan, Marketing plan and Zone GTM plans. The project involves defining the sources of truth for market sizing & market growth on our scopes of activities in our addressable markets per Zone. The projects embeds both alignment on key data sources between strategy, business lines and zones and tooling development to make it available across the company. Analyse our current positioning and & potential gaps or opportunities for growth (with a specific focus on our strategic priorities such as strategic value propositions) Leverage data to propose segmentation criteria on our strategic priorities: which target audience, which vertical, for which purpose, with which offer… Liaise with SVP leaders, Business Lines & Zones to ensure we have trajectories that are consistent with the market and our ambitions. Feed our marketing plan with key recommendations for action plans: target audiences to address, offers to develop, communication to be done…

In the future, the activities can be enriched with the creation of a unified tool gathering both external and internal inputs, as a unique ‘go to’ place to feed all company users. As this is a new job creation, the scope will be extended as we grow on the marketing intelligence field.

The role is global, addressing all of our market segments (Orange Business France and International + Direction Entreprises France) and requires interactions with a wide range of stakeholders from several entities (Products & Marketing, Zones, Finance, HR, Strategy…)


about you

Expected skills:

Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance or Computer Science

10+ years of professional experience in market research or strategy, data analysis or market insights roles

Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, leveraging primary and syndicated research, market and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision

Proficient in developing data reporting infrastructures and producing insightful reports for senior stakeholders to support decision-making

Extensive hands-on experience with data analysis techniques, including ETL processes, data modeling/management, and data visualization.

In-depth knowledge of data analytical tools, techniques and languages such as SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Knime/Dataiku/Alteryx, SSAS

Ability to give meaning, understanding of the strategy and challenges of its entity

Team spirit, transversality, coordination and lead of stakeholders around a project, even remotely

Results oriented related with business objectives

Leadership, ability to convince, great interpersonal skills, listening

Strong project management skills

Autonomy and ability to quickly adapt to organizational changes, to react and find quick solutions

Strength of proposal and creativity,

Mastery of data tools and strong analytical skills,

Fluent in English (French is a plus)
