Purpose of Role

The Senior Manager will oversee delivery for all program squads and delivery streams. The responsibilities also include direct management of all allocated project managers who together provide delivery leadership and project management support to our Product teams. The Senior Manager will guide cross-functional development teams/projects which include but are not limited to mobile and web scrum teams, digital product science teams and business services. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented communicator that feels comfortable working closely with development, design, product, and QA teams to coordinate projects from inception through to consumer release. Your Impact
  • Work directly with cross-functional leaders within relevant program functions to deliver successful outcomes against company goals.
  • Strategically identify the appropriate participants in each program and clearly define roles and responsibilities. 
  • Proactively identify critical dependencies, define the scope, and assess gaps within active programs and manage key stakeholders through remediation and decision tracking.
  • Document and manage teams to detailed project and task plans across functional areas and workstreams. 
  • Use strong listening, facilitation, and problem-solving skills to form trusted working relationships with leaders and cross-department team members. 
  • Create and maintain continual transparency/reporting of program progress and associated communications necessary to keep a shared understanding across teams.
  • Drive project delivery, collaboration, transparency, and risk remediation across cross-functional business teams.
  • See each program through to implementation and tracking of results including lessons learned to apply to the next program for continuous improvement.
  • People manager responsibilities for all program aligned team members in the team, directing their work and guiding them in their career path at Under Armour.
  • Manage relevant third-party vendors through contracts and work efforts under several Global Technology workstreams.
  • Participates in the identification of design and technical architectures to support business architecture and the businesses strategic intent.

Qualifications

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
•    Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
•    At least 10 years of technical project management experience
•    Experience with agile, scrum, Kanban, and other software development approaches
•    Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, and other project management tools as applicable
•    Exposure to a high rate of change and growth environments
•    Ability to thrive in fast-paced and deadline-driven
•    Ability to work quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
•    Strong communication and organizational skills
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    An infectious personality that achieves instant stakeholder buy-in
•    A reputation for getting things done 
•    Experience delivering consumer software products – either as a business analyst, software developer, or project manager.
•    Experience coordinating software releases across multiple teams, including external groups like customer support, quality assurance, and marketing teams.
