Lead Program Manager - Financial Strategies at Booking

The Lead Program Manager - Financial Strategies role is accountable for the comprehensive management of intricate programs that align with the strategic objectives of the organization.

Within the Finance Strategy & Business Operations division, this position will particularly emphasize overseeing initiatives related to Financial Regulations and Innovative Business Models. These initiatives are crucial for assisting the organization in adapting to the swiftly evolving financial regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate should possess a background in leveraging technology to tackle multifaceted business challenges within the financial regulatory framework.

The Lead Program Manager will ensure that strategic roadmaps and plans are in sync with business priorities, interdependencies, and overarching strategies, informed by data and business requirements. They will facilitate the development of business cases, gather essential requirements from diverse stakeholders, and supervise governance, planning, and execution for the initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and support on Program Management best practices
  • Lead and oversee high-complexity initiatives
  • Drive scoping, planning, and documentation for programs
  • Define program objectives, requirements, and success metrics
  • Execute program plans to achieve objectives within designated timelines
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and interdependencies
  • Establish effective governance and communication frameworks
  • Assist teams in making informed decisions and prioritizing tasks
  • Identify synergies, opportunities, and risks across various projects
  • Ensure the successful delivery of business initiatives
  • Foster a culture of change management and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with senior stakeholders
  • Define and evaluate program success indicators
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops to support program execution
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extensive experience in Financial/Tax or Business Model projects within FinTech and/or Payments sectors
  • Over 10 years of project management experience
  • Strong expertise in change management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities
  • Capability to thrive in ambiguous situations and drive solutions to complex challenges
  • Strong focus on customer needs and expectations
