Lead Program Manager - Financial Strategy at Booking

The Lead Program Manager - Financial Strategy role is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive management of intricate programs that align with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

Within the Finance Strategy & Business Operations division, this position will particularly concentrate on directing initiatives associated with Financial Regulations and Innovative Business Models. These initiatives are crucial for assisting the organization in adapting to the swiftly evolving financial regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate should possess a background in leveraging technology to tackle complex business issues within the financial regulatory framework.

The Lead Program Manager will ensure that project roadmaps and plans are in harmony with organizational priorities, interdependencies, and strategies, grounded in data and business requirements. Responsibilities include supporting the development of business cases, gathering essential requirements from diverse stakeholders, and overseeing governance, planning, and execution of the initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and support on Program Management best practices
  • Lead and manage high-complexity initiatives
  • Drive scoping, planning, and documentation for projects
  • Define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria
  • Execute project plans to achieve objectives within established timelines
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Establish effective governance and communication frameworks
  • Assist teams in making informed decisions and prioritizing tasks
  • Identify synergies, opportunities, and risks across initiatives
  • Oversee the successful execution of business initiatives
  • Foster a culture of change management and development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage senior stakeholders
  • Define and evaluate project success metrics
  • Prepare and facilitate workshops to support project delivery
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extensive experience in Financial Regulations or Business Model projects within FinTech and/or Payments
  • Over 10 years of project management experience
  • Strong expertise in change management
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and drive solutions to complex challenges
  • Focus on customer needs and expectations
