Overview:
The Sales Manager for Lecithin EMEA will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our customer base in the region. This role will focus on lecithin sales with key accounts in Europe, direct accounts and distributors in the Middle East and Africa.
Job Purpose:
The Sales Manager will actively maintain and expand our food customer base in EMEA, drive customer projects and build a solid project pipeline for sustainable business results.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for Lecithin customers in EMEA, including the support of key accounts, distributors and regular food customers.
- Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies within the EMEA market.
- Create and fulfill own sales plans and budget on the basis of market plans.
- Control all sales activities with existing and potential customers.
- Establish and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Monitor the market and identify market potential.
- Develop customer concepts in cooperation with commercial, technical service and product development and application teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in any of the sciences, food science and/or technology or business administration preferred.
- Experience in the B2B food ingredients business, customer-centric focused and go-to-market skills with contacts into lecithin traditional industries.
- Profound knowledge on global Emulsifiers market, understanding of regional market landscape, dynamics and S&D (Non GMO & GMO – fluid, de-oiled, specialties).
- Ingredient background from Emulsifiers/Lecithin industry highly appreciated, scientific and technical understanding of emulsifiers beneficial.
- Flexible and willingness to travel regularly within the region (50%).
- Strong English language skills mandatory, 2nd language beneficial (can be German, French, Dutch or Spanish).
- Independent and structured work.
- Enthusiasm, initiative and ability to work under very dynamic environments.
- Team spirit, result oriented and strong communication skills.
- Strong customer, service orientation and with "hunter" mentality.
- Ability to connect and work within international matrix organization.
