Job Title: Team Leader Logistics

Decathlon is committed to developing processes related to Rental, Buyback, and 2nd life services. To achieve this, a Circular Center has been set up in Tilburg. Currently, 25 team members are working on Repair, Refurbishment, and Refit processes. Are you an energetic team leader who wants to make a positive impact on our planet? Read on to learn more.

Your Challenge and Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the refurbishment processes that make it possible to rent, buy back, and sell products as 2nd life. You will lead and manage a team of employees and team leaders who are operationally involved in the circular center in Tilburg.

The circular center is located in Decathlon's modern distribution center. You will be actively involved in a complex environment with multiple teams and stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Talent management: You will always look for the right profiles for the right positions. In the coming years, we expect a significant growth in our circular services. The foundation is already in place, but there is still room for improvement. Finding the right people and developing them will be one of your priorities.
  2. Processes: You will create SOPs for all processes and ensure that the teams execute and follow them as well as possible. Continuous improvement is the standard mindset.
  3. Employee engagement: You will stimulate a culture of employee engagement and create a positive work environment where sports and teamwork are central.
  4. Team management: You will lead and develop your team. You will motivate your team to come to work with energy every day. You will encourage them to meet deadlines and deliver quality.
  5. Forecasting: Based on the expected numbers in rental, repair, and 2nd chance, you will ensure that the right people are in place at the right time. You will take into account peak moments throughout the year.
What We Expect from You

We are looking for someone who is aware of processes related to sustainability. You will work with the team to ensure that we meet our circularity goals. In addition to affinity for sustainability, we also expect:

  1. Good stakeholder management skills and a strong I-say I-do mentality.
  2. You have experience as a team leader in a similar (logistical) role.
  3. You have basic technical skills, and you find it interesting to repair things.
  4. You usually try to repair something before throwing it away.
  5. You are available for 38 hours a week.
  6. You are proficient in both English and Dutch.
