Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Engineering  (Ref.: 524211) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary with possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience at supervisory level, preferably in tertiary institutions or a related sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and be a good team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Applicants familiar with contemporary trends of higher education and research in Hong Kong are preferred.

The appointee is responsible for the administration of quality assurance matters, research grants and research supporting schemes. He/she is also required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and policies for research, serve on Faculty committees and perform any other duties as assigned. Working off-campus and outside normal office hours (including weekends) may occasionally be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
