Director of Technical Pre-Sales for Benelux Expansion

Databricks is a leading cloud-based data and AI platform, and we are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Director of Technical Pre-Sales for Benelux expansion. This role will play a critical part in driving our growth in the region.
Estimated Salary Range€120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThis role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in technical pre-sales, leadership, and team management. As the Director of Technical Pre-Sales, you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focusing on complex accounts in Benelux, helping to drive our expansion in the region. Your experience partnering with Sales organisations will help grow consumption, while coaching new Sales and pre-sales team members to work together effectively. You will guide your team and be involved in opportunities to enhance their effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring and managing a growing team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects.
- Buiding a collaborative culture within the rapid-growth team, embodying and promoting Databricks' customer-obsessed, teamwork, and diverse culture.
- Supporting increased return on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles.
- Promoting a solution and value-based selling field-engineering organisation.
- Displaying an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region.
- Building Databricks' brand in Benelux in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
- First-line leadership experience, ideally from a Data, AI or Cloud Company.
- Relevant high-growth enterprise software pre-sales success with tenure at a reputable software company.
- Experience developing, managing, and building a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
- Culture leader with experience managing a growing sales organisation and building teams of successful and passionate big data, Cloud, or SaaS sales professionals.
- A track record of building strong ecosystems of lucrative customer relationships and cross-functional partnerships (Sales, Engineering, Marketing).
- Knowledgeable in and passionate about data-driven decisions, AI, and Cloud software models.
- Great at instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiency.
- Market experience of the Benelux region.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience.
