Job Summary

The Global Compensation and Benefits Specialist will be part of the non-executive compensation and benefits team in the global Total Rewards function, reporting to the Director of Non-Executive Compensation and Benefits. This role will be based in our European Headquarters in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve compensation and benefit policies and processes considering SABIC's overall strategy and global employment market trends to attract, motivate, and retain employees.
  • Lead the implementation and change management for global and regional policies and processes.
  • Ensure SABIC has sound governance for compensation and benefits.
  • Assist in activities related to Mergers and Acquisitions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the global implementation of new or modified C&B programs, including creation of an appropriate change management strategy, policies, training materials, and ensuring C&B policies are embedded in HR systems.
  • Proactively develop and improve C&B brochures, guidebooks, web pages.
  • Communicate about C&B to employees, HR colleagues, and managers through meetings, training sessions, etc.
  • Advise the M&A team on C&B matters, leading due diligence, developing the strategy, and leading implementation for carve-in and carve-out of C&B.
  • Proactively evaluate/analyze the effectiveness of C&B programs, leading to recommendations for improvement.
  • Program manage global Reward and Recognition and European Regional Company Car Policies.
  • Ensure sound governance for C&B programs.
  • Coach junior members of the C&B team.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management, or a scientific/engineering/numerical discipline.
  • Ideal certification in Compensation & Benefits or Reward.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in global/multinational companies, with a minimum of 5 years in C&B roles.
  • English Language is a must.
  • Key competencies are: Compensation and Benefits, Pensions, Analytic Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Business Acumen, and Global Outlook.
