Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts in the flavor industry, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts in the flavor industry, including existing and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Creation, and Marketing, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage order patterns to optimize customer satisfaction and IFF's business performance.
  • Responsible for quotes and pricing negotiations, ensuring that minimum sales prices are achieved.
  • Accountable for all communications with customers, ensuring timely delivery of orders and all documents related to legal and quality issues and specifications.
  • Cooperate with Operations to manage order-related customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring that customers are always given the information they require when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, Business Administration, or food technology.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Business-to-Business Sales Management function, preferably within the food ingredients/flavors industry.
  • Relevant work experience in flavors and food markets.
  • Strategic thinking, strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, additional languages an advantage.
  • Good listener, open personality with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to create strong relationships with customers.
  • Well-organized, excellent computer skills (MS Office).
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%, mostly within the Benelux and also to other European locations.
