Job Overview

Are you passionate about the world of scents and eager to make a difference in people's lives? At International Flavors & Fragrances, we are seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join our Scent division focused on the fabric care sector. Position Responsibilities

As a Fragrance Innovation Specialist, you will be tasked with developing and executing strategies for product advancement that yield distinctive and consumer-relevant fragrance solutions for the global fabric care industry.

Your work will be driven by consumer insights, which will guide your response to both internal and external development opportunities. You will collaborate with diverse teams to enhance existing capabilities and create new fragrance themes, technologies, and processes. Effective project management will be essential to ensure timely delivery and adherence to investment guidelines.

Key Duties

Innovation & Leadership

• Lead global innovation initiatives to craft and implement cutting-edge fragrance development strategies.
• Align market, customer, and consumer needs to propose competitive product solutions that drive business success.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (including perfumers, technical/R&D, and marketing) to identify challenges and opportunities, developing new fragrance solutions.
• Oversee programs with significant technical content related to fragrance technologies and formulations.
• Foster ideation within teams to discover new consumer solutions and development methodologies.
• Define consumer insights strategies to gain a competitive edge and build relevant solutions.

Project Management

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure fragrance strategies align with overarching business goals.
• Maintain a disciplined approach to drive effective execution and expedite market readiness.
• Monitor project outcomes and adapt strategies as necessary.
• Utilize a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics to establish competitive solutions.
• Ensure global visibility of projects both internally and externally.

Knowledge Sharing

• Promote the sharing of information and insights to empower teams.
• Document learnings and present market, consumer, and olfactory trends, alongside fragrance solutions and creative guidelines, to relevant stakeholders.

Team Development

• Support a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
• Build strong relationships with global teams and stakeholders.
• Take charge of your professional growth by collaborating with your manager to set SMART objectives and a personal development plan.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fragrance house or consumer goods company, particularly in an international context.
• Experience in the Fabric Care category is advantageous.
• Strong olfactory skills; olfactory assessment will be part of the selection process.
